Graveside services for Barbara Cumpton will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Rufe Cemetery in Rufe, OK with Rev. Melvin Holloman officiating and burial following in the Rufe Cemetery.

Barbara Ann Cumpton was born December 10, 1953, in Rufe, Oklahoma, the daughter of Hoover and Isabel (Ensey) Ashford. She passed from this life on Thursday, April 10, 2014, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 60.

She grew up in Rufe, OK and had lived in this area all her life. Barbara enjoyed growing flowers, especially orchids, and working with her ornamental fish pond in the yard. In addition, she loved spending time enjoying friends and family, listening to her favorite artist, Conway Twitty, and dancing. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Curtis Ashford.

Barbara is survived by her fiancé, Melvin Wells; one daughter, Lisa Lopez and grandson, Christopher; one brother, Junior Ashford; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
