Daphne "Dixie" Allen
1922 - 2005 Daphne (Dixie) Allen Services: Wed., June 22, 10:00 a.m. Daphne (Dixie) Allen was born on May 3, 1922, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and passed away peacefully in her home, on June 17, 2005.
She moved to Kern County at the age of 5, where she resided for 78 years.
She worked at United News, where she retired after 27 years.
In her eyes, her greatest accomplishments were her marriage and her family.
Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Guy A. Allen, and her daughter, Diana Decobert, she is survived by her sons, Jimmy Allen and wife, Nancy, Brad Allen; seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, June 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Mission Family Mortuary. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Daphne (Dixie) Allen will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at 10:00 a.m.
