Vada Mae Petty, 85, of Norman, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015, in Norman, Oklahoma. The daughter of Hurley and Millie (Woods) Price, she was born November 9, 1929 in Cole, Oklahoma.

She was a longtime member of the Cole First Baptist Church. Vada loved her two dogs and, in her spare time, she enjoyed watching OU football and basketball, OKC Thunder basketball, and going to the casino.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Petty; five brothers, Warren Price, Robert Price, Pate Price, Ted Price, and Russell Price; and one sister, Alma Birmingham.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Hoots and her husband, Sam, of Norman; one son, James Phillips, of Harrah; her grandchildren, Seth Hoots and fiancée, Amanda Trevino, of Norman, Michael Phillips and wife, Kynzee, of Norman, and Calin Hoots of Norman; one great granddaughter, Kinleigh Phillips, of Norman; one sister, Dovie Weicht, of Kelso, Washington; a sister-in-law, Sue Price, of Cole; numerous nieces and nephews; her friend and former husband, Milford Phillips, of Norman; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 12, 2015, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery in Washington, Oklahoma.
