Pauline Norma Jean (Allen) Morehead age 89 of Washington, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at Purcell Municipal Hospital. Pauline was born May 25, 1928 in Washington, OK. She was the younger of two daughters born to Eldon Oliver Allen and Effie Mae (Fowler) Allen. Pauline grew up a farm girl, working in the cotton fields near Washington. She graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1946. After high school she remained living at home, helping on the farm and being a caregiver to her family. On December 10, 1960 she married John Andrew Morehead a local young farmer. They made their home southeast of Washington where they operated a dairy farm for over 35 years. Pauline and John raised one daughter, Lora. Pauline worked hard as a farmer’s wife and mother. She was a wonderful cook and she enjoyed working in her flower gardens around her home. She was an avid collector of rooster and chicken figurines and a longtime member of the Washington Order of Eastern Star. For over 70 years she has been a member of the Washington First Baptist Church and kept the nursery for nearly 50 years. She wanted the little ones to enjoy coming to church then, so they would enjoy coming to church when they were older. Most of all, Pauline loved babysitting her granddaughter, Kelsie, when she was growing up. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Eldon and Effie Allen; Husband, John Morehead in 2006; Sister, Iva Aday Vaughn in 2010; Sisters and Brothers-In-Law, Patty Lynda and LB Collins, Binford Morehead, and Edith and Marvin White

She is survived by: Daughter, Lora Krupitzer and husband Jim of Norman; Granddaughter, Kelsie Krupitzer of Norman; Sister-in-law, Billie Morehead of Purcell; Nieces and nephews including; Karla Brakefield and husband Mack of Purcell, Eddie Aday and wife Sue of Edmond, Michael Collins and wife Mary of Bethany, Larry Collins of Washington, David Morehead of OKC, Danny Morehead and wife Carolyn of OKC, Darrell Morehead and wife Deanna of Washington, Randy Morehead and wife Brenda of Purcell, And many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Washington First Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell. Send online condolence at www.wilsonlittle.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, Washington, benevolence fund.
