Mark McAlister, age 93 of Washington, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017, at the Integris Hospice House in Okla. City.

Mark Calvin McAlister was born August 26, 1923 in Vanoss, OK, the 3rd of 6 children born to Andrew Jackson McAlister and Bessie Lillian (Wyatt) McAlister. He was raised in Washington and attended Washington Schools.

On June 19, 1943, Mark married his best friend and the love of his life, a local girl named Ima Faye Ham.

Mark served his country proudly, in the United States Army, during World War II, while stationed in Japan.

He returned home to Faye in Washington, and they began their life together, and raised their son, Ron.

Mark worked in Agriculture his entire life. He spent most of his days as a dairyman and farmer, and some as a livestock sales man.

When not working, he enjoyed hunting, and he never missed an opportunity to go fishing. He and Faye enjoyed traveling and especially to Branson. Mark loved the Lord and served him faithfully. He spent countless hours working at or around the Church, the Westside Church of Christ. He was a wonderful husband and father, grandfather and great grandfather, uncle and a true friend. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: A grandson, Ty McAlister; His parents, Andrew and Bessie McAlister; His sister, Jewel Holden and 4 brothers, Claude, Ray, JL and James.

Mark leaves behind: His wife of 73 years, Faye McAlister of the home; Son, Ron McAlister and wife Valinda of Washington; 3 grandchildren, Guy McAlister and wife Destini of Edmond, Cale McAlister and wife Renae of Bedford, TX and Joy Rohlfing and husband Ryan of Owasso; 8 great grandchildren, Eliana, Ian, Liam, Emery, Kade, Kalvin, Max and Jake; Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 23, 2017, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell. Send online condolences @ wilsonlittle.com

Faye McAlister, age 97 of Washington, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023.

Ima Faye Ham was born September 23, 1926 in St. Louis, Oklahoma, the 2nd of 7 children born to Otis Ham and Mesia Mae (Hembree) Ham. She was raised in the Goldsby/Washington area and attended school there.

She married young to Mark Calvin McAlister, and together they raised a son, Ron.

Faye worked tirelessly as a homemaker, and helped Mark on the family farm and ranch. She later worked in several area dress shops in Lexington and Purcell. Lastly, she worked at WalMart, and she fondly recalled her 24 years and 7 months there.

Away from work, she enjoyed traveling, and she especially enjoyed visiting Branson.

Faye was a woman of great faith, and longtime member of the Westside Church of Christ in Lexington. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: her husband of 73 years, Mark Calvin McAlister; great granddaughter, Regan Rohlfing; grandson, Ty McAlister; parents, Otis and Mesia Ham; sister Neva Heath and brothers, Truman Howell Ham, James Ham, Harold Ham and Bob Ham.

Faye is survived by: her son, Ron McAlister and wife Valinda of Washington; sister, Darlene Roberts and husband Jim of Cole, OK; sister-in-law, Luvean Ham of Lexington; 3 grandchildren, Guy McAlister and wife Destini of Edmond, Cale McAlister of Bedford, TX and Joy Rohlfing and husband Ryan of Owasso, OK; 11 great grandchildren; Eliana, Ian, Liam, Rosie, Emery, Kade, Kalvin, Max, Jake, Ryder and Quinlee; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Little’s Chapel. Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery. www.wilsonlittle.com.
