Mary Elizabeth (Chandler) Fields, 91, of Norman, formerly of Washington, died Monday, March 26, 2018, in Norman. The daughter of James Mallard Chandler and Lora Belle (Tryon) Chandler, she was born February 19, 1927 in Oklahoma City.

Mary graduated from Capitol Hill High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She worked as a piano teacher and taught elementary school for many years. Mary was Methodist in faith. Mary’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Fields; one grandson, Jeff Foal; and two brothers, Jack and Clint Chandler.

She is survived by one daughter, Trish Fields and her husband, Joe Quiñonez, of Houston, Texas; one son, Mike Fields and his wife, Lena, of Washington; three grandchildren, Troy Fields and his wife, Lesa, of Oklahoma City, Mark Fields and his wife, Louise, of Norman, and Shanna Houston of Tulsa; fourteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and one on the way; and many other loved ones and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 30, 2018, at the Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
