Thelma Kay Dorsett died August 5, 2020 in Spencer, Oklahoma at the age of 53 years 25 days. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, August 10, 2020 at Washington Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Thelma was born July 11, 1967 in Durant, Oklahoma to Gaylen Thomas and Judy Kay (Bates) Pelts. She was raised and attended school in Durant. Thelma worked different jobs throughout her life. On December 23, 1990, she married Larry Dorsett in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thelma enjoyed fishing, cooking and anything outdoors. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grand-babies, and attending any ball game or school function she could.

Thelma is preceded in death by her father, Gaylen Thomas Pelts; her stepfather, Bobby Gene Jones; her grandparents, Claude and Thelma Bates; her aunts and uncles, Elsie Taylor, Gurtrude Taylor, Ann Taylor, Ronnie Bates, Betty Bates, Nori Bates, Bobby Jones; and a nephew. Survivors include her husband, Larry Dorsett of Washington; her children, Ashley Dorsett, Mathew Dorsett, Tyler Dorsett, all of Washington; her grandchildren, Elyssa Dorsett and Keith Gee, of Washington; her mother, Judy Kay Jones of Ada; her siblings, Gaylen Pelts and Micheall, of Del City, Kelly Pelts and Troy Cox, of Spencer, Anthony Pelts and Betty Tillman, of Allen, David Jones of Ada, Tracey Jones of Phoenix, Arizona, Teresa Jones of Kingman, Arizona, Scott Jones of Missouri; a special nephew, Garren Nelson and Sarah, and their son, Grayson; a special niece, Miranda Woods and Jonathan, and their children, Kaylee, Jonathan and Kinley; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
