Lawrence Beller, age 81 of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at the St. Thomas Regional Hospital in Murfreesboro.

Lawrence Eniles Beller was born May 14, 1932 in Norman, OK, the 5th of 10 children born to Luther Theodore Beller and Clementine Elizabeth (Madden) Beller. He grew up on a farm between Blanchard and Washington and attended Blanchard Schools. Lawrence quit school and began working to help support his family, and learned at an early age the value of hard work. He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country proudly.

On May 19, 1957, Lawrence and Frances June Campbell, a young lady from Washington, were united in marriage in Purcell, OK. They made their home in Norman where together they raised 3 sons, Jerry, Gary and Jeff. Lawrence worked in the water department for the City of Norman. He retired as a supervisor after more than 33 years of dedicated service. He then worked for his brother Robert at B&H Construction before retiring due to health. Lawrence was a wonderful husband and father; grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: His parents, Luke and Clemmie Beller; Sister, Viola Mayo and Brothers, Willie, Paulie, Isaac, Calvin and Robert.

Lawrence leaves behind: His wife, Frances, of the home; His sons, Jerry Beller and wife Nici of Atlanta, GA, Gary Beller of Murfreesboro, and Jeff Beller and wife Suzanne of Murfreesboro; Brother, Roy Beller of McLoud, OK; 2 sisters, Vina Martin of Bonham, TX and Linda Hyde and husband Lonnie of Washington; 5 grandchildren, Adonis, Alex, Reeves, Kelsey and Korey; Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Goldsby Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery.
