Services for Ky Harbert Murphy, 64, of Edmond, formerly of Ada and Enid, are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada. Rev. Brian Burton will officiate.

Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Murphy passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at an Edmond care center. She was born December 11, 1953, at Midwest City to Martin and Pauline Smith Harbert.
 
She attended Ada schools and received a Bachelor's Degree from Phillips University in Enid. She received a Master's Degree from Oklahoma City University.
She married Ocus Murphy in 1974. Mrs. Murphy was owner and teacher of the Montessori school in Enid for 35 years.

Survivors include her husband, Ocus Murphy, of the home; a son, Kaleb Murphy of Ada; a daughter, Sara Murphy of Edmond; three grandchildren, Jude, Martin and Violet Murphy; two sisters, Jodi Martin of Ojai, CA and Linda Taylor and husband Dan of Ada.
 
She as preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Marty Harbert.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Salvation Army, 516 N. Independence Street, Enid, OK 73701.
