Melissa Caroline Pherbia Simpson Miser Obit

Birth: May 13, 1855, TN

Death: Apr. 3, 1934, Rosedale, McClain,Co., Ok

Melissa Caroline Pherbia Simpson was a surviving triplet born to Joseph and Mary Synthia (Trolinger) Simpson.

On 10 Dec 1876, she married Samuel Henry Miser, (widower of Susan Chappell Miser, and father of their three daughters, Ollie Miser Hinkle, Mollie Miser Whitfield, and Tennie Miser Whitfield, all born in Mt. View, Stone Co., AR).

Samuel, a Confedrate soldier in Shaver's 7th Infantry, Co. G., was born in Misers' Station, Blount Co., TN, died 10 Jan 1898, and lies buried in Bickles Cove Cemetery, Mt. View.

Melissa and Samuel had 3 children: Dallas S., Dora Lucinda Miser Rushing, and Commodore Vanderbilt Miser, all born in Mt. View.

In 1903, she moved with Dallas to the Rosedale area, where she resided for almost 30 years.

With the onset of Measles on Mar 26 complications led to her passing at the age of 78 years and 10 months. Dr. W. A. Jones, M.D. Rosedale, was her attending physician.
