Darla Jean Basinger was born to Lloyd Chadwich & Dortha (Eaton) Poynter on 13 Dec 1950 in Purcell, OK. She lived in Piedmont, OK.

Darla worked at Tinker AFB in the maintenance department.

She had many hobbies and activities. She enjoyed painting, interior decorating, sewing, gardening and yard work. She also enjoyed horses & mules and going to the casino and playing bingo.

Darla departed this life on Monday, 24 August 2009 in Piedmont, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Darla is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Billy & Christy Anglin of Piedmont, OK. Her daughter and son-in-law, Ste-phanie & Paul Higdon of Clermont, Fl. Two brothers, David Chadwick of Richland Hills, TX and Dwight Chadwick of OKC, and a sister, Toni Stine of OKC. She has four grandchildren, Taylor Higdon, Jacob Anglin, Maegan Hidgon & Lauren Anglin along with many other relatives and friends.

Her family greeted friends from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, 28 Aug 2009 at Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, 29 Aug 2009 at Rosedale Cemetery, Rosedale, OK under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service.
