Brooke Raelynn Newton, 25, passed away August 30, 2017 in San Diego, California.

She was born April 17, 1992 at Tinker Air Force Base to Billy Newton and Misty Garrett. She graduated from Edmond Santa Fe in 2010. She began her military service in high school by joining the Air National Guard. Brooke attended the University of Central Oklahoma and then joined the Navy. She was stationed at Coronado Naval Base and traveled to many different ports of call. She was proud to serve her country and treasured the friendships she had with her fellow shipmates. Brooke was a lover of oldies music, a friend to all animals, a member of the Chickasaw Nation, a proud Veteran, and an Oklahoma girl. As a young child she accepted Christ as her savior and she was continually growing in her faith. She loved spending time with family and friends, fishing with her PaPa, attending concerts, reading, and anything that made her laugh.

She was preceded in death by: Grandmother, Glenda Newton, Great Aunts, Kitty Rath and Debbie Garrett; A 2nd cousin, Jerry Rath.

Brooke leaves behind to cherish her memory: Her mother, Misty Garrett of OKC; Father, Billy Newton and wife Noelle of OKC; Sister, Brittany Tarron and husband Reeve of OKC, Step-sister, Brittney Norris and husband Rick of MWC; Grandparents, Larry and Janice Garrett of Newcastle; Grandfather, Stuart “Butch” Newton of San Antonio, TX; Grandmother, Ginger Green of Lawton; Great grandmother, Gloria Hill of Cyril, OK; Aunts and Uncles, Amber Brown and husband Travis of OKC, Autumn Garrett of San Diego, CA, Traci Foster and husband Dwain of Blanchard, OK, Brandon Newton of Albuquirie, NM, Tiffani Southerland of Chickasha, OK, Melanie Kuehl and husband Brian of San Antonio, TX, Alison Green of Lawton. Many cousins, Great Aunts and Uncles and other family members, friends and sailors all over the world.

Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle, OK. Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, September 15, 2017 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church, Newcastle, OK.

Burial will follow at Newcastle Memorial Gardens.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers please donate to Northcare Community Mental Health Center or the Central Oklahoma Humane Society.
