Dale Wayne Dunagan, 56, of Newcastle, died Thursday, May 22, 2014 at his home. The son of Joseph Fred Dunagan, Sr. and Frances Louzella (Autry) Dunagan, he was born May 14, 1958 in Oklahoma City.

He worked for Oklahoma Farmers Union as an insurance adjuster. Dale married Tonya Carlene Chapman on May 22, 1981 in Dibble, Oklahoma. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and buying and selling guns and antiques. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Ada, where he pastored for 3 ½ years. Since the age of 16, he has been involved with music and youth ministry, pastoring churches and preaching the gospel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul Dunagan.

Dale is survived by his wife, Tonya Dunagan of Newcastle; his three sons, Robert Dunagan and Renyae Smith of Shawnee; Cory Dunagan of Newcastle, and Matthew Dunagan of Newcastle; his five grandchildren, Brandon and Blake Dunagan of Newcastle, Dre’ Jones of Shawnee, Cole Smith of Shawnee, and Kai-Lion Dunagan of Shawnee; his brother, Joseph Fred Dunagan, Jr. of Newcastle; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Newcastle Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association at www.abta.org. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
