Funeral services for Dennisteen Yoakum Van Wagoner Murray, 79, were held March 6, 2004 in Yoakum-Damet Funeral Chapel, Purcell, with her nephew, the Rev. Rick Blackwell of Chandler, officiating. Interment was at El Reno, beside her first husband, Raymond Van Wagoner, under the direction of Yoakum-Damet Funeral Home, Purcell.

Mrs. Murray died March 3, 2004 at Mena, Ark. She was born Dec.12, 1924 in Rosedale, McClain Co., OK, the daughter of Dennis A. and Eva Velma (Jaye) Yoakum.

She attended schools at Rosedale, and graduated from Capitol Hill High School, OKC, and Draughns Business College. Mrs. Murray worked at Greenlease Moore Chevrolet, Douglas Air Depot and Tinker Air Force Base.

She married Ray Van Wagoner, who preceded her in death in 1969. She later moved to Wayne, OK, and married Raymond Murray. She was a member of the Wayne Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; two brothers, Harold and Bland Dale, and one sister, Frankie Van Dale.

Survivors include a son, Steven and his wife, Donna, of Springdale, Ark.; a sister, Geneva Blackwell and her husband, Troy of Wayne; a brother, Dennis J. Yoakum and his wife, Hazel, of Purcell; a sister-in-law, Ludia Yoakum of Oklahoma City and her former husband, Raymond Murray of Wickes, Ark.

Pallbearers were her nephews, Harvey Yoakum, Denny Yoakum, and Alan, Bob, Jared and Micah Blackwell.
