A memorial service for Beverly Jo (Bridges) Wilson, 69, of Purcell will be held today (Thursday), Sept. 15, 2005 from 4-6 p.m. at the Wilson home at 610 Monroe St. in Purcell.

Mrs. Wilson died Sept. 10, 2005 at Norman Regional Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 11, 1935 in Pauls Valley, the daughter of Evelyn (Landers) and LaRoy Bridges Jr. She graduated from Pauls Valley High School in 1953 and continued her education at the University of Oklahoma where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi social sorority.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Purcell before its closing and was involved in PTA, Garden Club, Bridge Club and other community activities.

She was preceded in death by one son, David Roy Wilson; her parents and in-laws, Lucy and Roy Wilson Sr.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Roy Wilson Jr.; one son, Kevin Bridges Wilson; four grandchildren; one sister, Pam Agnew and her husband, Glen, of Pauls Valley.
