Cecilia Sue Cameron, age 68 of Washington, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013. She was born June 8, 1945 in Seminole, OK, the 3rd of 10 children born to Oscar Fixico and Emma (King) Fixico. She grew up a country girl north of Seminole near Strothers, OK. She attended Strothers Schools, graduating in 1963. Cecilia married her best friend and true love, Larry Gene Cameron on August 9, 1965 in Seminole. To this union, 2 sons, Brian and Darryl were born. They lived in various communities including Cole, Norman and Seminole, before settling in Cole in 1981. Cecilia worked at the Norman Veterans Center for many years, before her health forced her to retire. She later worked at the Riverwind Casino Gift Shop. Cecilia cherished her family and greatly enjoyed years of babysitting her grandchildren. She enjoyed needle work, and especially crochet and quilting. She was an avid bingo player and never missed an opportunity to go fishing. Cecilia was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of the Fresh Start Community Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents: Oscar and Emma Fixico, 2 brothers: Thomas and Leon Fixico, 2 sisters: Elizabeth Fixico and Barbara Ann Fixico, Her nephew: Thomas Fixico,

Cecilia leaves behind: Her husband of 48 years: Larry Gene Cameron, of the home, Her sons: Brian Cameron and wife Amy, Darryl Cameron and wife Allyson, all of Washington, 4 grandchildren: Sierra and Mason Cameron, Krista Reed, Lyndi Whitten and husband Clark, 2 great grandchildren: Julian and Jaelyn, 3 brothers: Donald Fixico and James Fixico, both of Shawnee , Robert Fixico of Okemah, 2 sisters: Hildean Fixico and Eloise Fixico, both of Shawnee, Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 26, 2013, at the Jerusalem Cemetery in Cole, Oklahoma. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell

Larry “Gene” Cameron, age 76, of Washington passed away on April 12, 2023 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Gene was the 11th of 13th children born to Ballard Roy Cameron and Verna Lee (Burrow) Cameron. He was raised in Mustang where he attended school.

He was drafted into the United States Army and served his country proudly in Vietnam. Gene was a true patriot, and served in the National Guard for many years after active duty.

Gene was a standout basketball player in school, and continued to play throughout life. At one time, he played semi pro ball for a time.

By chance, he met young lady named Cecilia Sue Fixico. They were introduced by family, and the rest as they say is history. Gene and Cecilia were married on August 9, 1965 in Norman. They made their home in Cole where they raised two sons, Brian and Darryl. A brick mason by trade, Gene worked for more than 42 years, and mostly for Kern Jervis. Gene worked hard, loved listening to music, eating good food and sipping on a cold beer. Despite many challenges in life, Gene pushed through and overcome them all. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ballard and Verna Cameron; Three brothers, Lloyd Wayne “Jack” Cameron, Billy Ray Cameron and Bobby Dale Cameron and three sisters, Lora Lee Dye, Mary Vasti Burke and Rose Marie Bookout.

Gene is survived by: his boys, Brian Cameron and wife Amy of Washington, OK and Darryl Cameron and wife Heather of Washington; brother, Harold Edward Cameron of Florida; three sisters, Sharon Kay Webb of Blanchard, Shirley Ann Clark-Cowdin of Norman and Patricia Jane McWilliams of Norman; grandchildren, Sierra and Eric Alcon of Moore; Mason and Grace Cameron of Norman; Grayson James Cameron and Cayden Lee Culpt of Moore.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Jerusalem Cemetery. www.wilsonlittle.com.
