Rita Marie Wade, 80, of Perry, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Perry, OK surrounded by family. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perry. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 9, 2015 in the funeral home chapel.

Rita was born on January 25, 1935 to Roy and Mary Hooper in Purcell, OK. Rita grew up in Purcell and in California. She met Nelson T. Wade and knew she found her soulmate. Rita was a woman who loved her family more than anything. When Rita had free time, she would often be found outside. She loved spending time just walking about or tending to her garden, where she had the most beautiful flowers around. She put her heart and soul into her family’s well being and made sure all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren knew she loved them.

Rita was preceded in death by both her parents, numerous brothers and sisters, and her great grandchild, Ryann Mendenhall.

Rita is survived by her husband, Nelson Tom Wade of the home; four children, Tom R. Wade and wife, Mitzi of Amarillo, TX, Debra Wade and fiancé, Steve Watts of Perry, OK, Pamela McDonald and husband, Tracy of Orlando, OK, and Jeff Wade and wife, Jenny of Keller, TX; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Stetnish and husband, Julian, Chapelle White and husband, Curtis, Nathan Wade and wife, Krystal, Eric Wade, Emily Blazer, Joshua Wade and wife, Claire, Amber Smith and husband, Cody, and Christian Wade; thirteen great grandchildren, Tyler, Alisha, Jade, Kelby, Levi, Kayden, Natalie, Alexi, Harrison, Adalyn, Brayden, Sam, and Paul.
