William Lee Teel died October 8, 2016 in Purcell at the age of 67 years 6 months 2 days.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ken Anderson officiating.

Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Bill was born April 6, 1949 in Ada, Oklahoma to Fred and Sadie (Miller) Teel. He was raised in Wayne, graduating in 1969. On August 18, 1970, Bill married Frances Faulkenberry in Wayne. He owned a gas station in Purcell for 18 years, before going to work for the City of Purcell. Bill worked at Hillside Cemetery as a care taker, then as a meter reader before his retirement. He also worked for Cline’s monument in Purcell. Bill loved to garden, fish, and going on camping trips, as well as listening to music and watching westerns. In his younger years, he enjoyed building cars and going to auto races. Bill loved spending time with his family, and was a member of Liberty Gospel Tabernacle.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Sadie Teel and a grandchild.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Teel of the home; daughters, Jennifer Teel-Crossland and husband, Stephen of Purcell, Crystal Teel-Brown and husband, Brandon of Purcell; son, Jamie Teel and wife, Sasha of Norman; grandchildren, Devin Crossland, Katelyn Crossland, Ethan Brown, Aidan Brown, Landon Brown, Kamdyn Brown, Allyson Teel, Bryson Teel; sister, Jean Skinner and husband, David of Lexington, and many other relatives and friends.
