(permission granted)

Clark Bendel Taylor, age 76 of Purcell, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the Norman Regional Hospital.

Clark was born October 17, 1941, first of three children born to Rex Clark Taylor and Linton (Epperson) Taylor.  He was raised in Norman and attended Norman Senior High School.  He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Roanoke Bible College (now Mid-Atlantic Christian University). Clark joined the United States Army and served his country proudly.  He later married Patricia Bolton and to this union four children were born.  Clark worked as a machinist by trade most of his life, and enjoyed building airplanes from the ground up.  His love of planes compelled him to earn his pilot’s license.  He loved flying and knew anything and everything about his planes.  He was an active member of the Experimental Aircraft Association for many years. Clark surrendered his life to the Lord and began preaching.  He also shared his musical talents singing in a men’s quartet.  Clark was a man of great faith; a quiet and honest man, who believed in listening more and speaking less.  On December 12, 2011, Clark married Betty McGrew in Tuttle and they made their home in Purcell.  Clark will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father, grandfather, brother and a true friend.  He will be dearly missed!
