Sandy Harris-Stefan, age 53 of Oklahoma City, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013. Sandy Dee Harris was born September 8, 1959 in Oklahoma City, the only child of William Duane “Bill” Harris and Marion Eugenia (Mickley) Harris. Sandy was raised in Tuttle and attended Tuttle Schools, graduating in 1977. She then began taking counseling classes at Oklahoma City University, before a car wreck left her paralyzed. But Sandy would overcome and finish with a Masters in Counseling and realize her dream of becoming a Licensed Therapist, specializing in Drug & Alcohol and Family counseling. Sandy later married a young man from Chicago named Eugene Joseph “Gene” Stefan, on June 10, 1988 in San Antonio, TX. And although they never had any children of their own, Sandy become a mother to Gene’s children. She loved people and would do anything to help anyone. She was a devout Christian who loved God and never complained, although she could have, about anything. Sandy was very close to her parents, and looked forward to phone calls and visits. She was an outgoing person and an overcomer and an example to many. She will be greatly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her grandparents; Her parent-in-laws, Isabella and Eugene Stefan, SR and Brother-in-law, Ronald Eugene Stefan.

Sandy leaves behind: Her husband, Gene Stefan of OKC; Her parents, Bill and Marion Harris of Purcell; Daughter, Sundae Skolasinski and husband Gary of Iron Mtn., MI; 2 grandchildren, Jacob and Ashley; 1 great grandchild, Jaxon; 5 Aunts, Lyn Nelson of OKC, Letha Hutto of Moore, Mildred Gamel of OKC, Freeda McLemore of Colony and Wanda Kellum of Jacksonville, NC; Sister-in-law, Teresa Frayer of Tuttle; 3 nephews, David, Ronnie and George Frayer; Her closest friends, Kerri, Brenda and Dorcha and Several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 12, 2013, at the Wilson-Little Chapel. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery.
