Dora Faye Phillips age 92 of Purcell, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 in Norman, OK. She was born February 2, 1923 in McMillan, Oklahoma. She was the fourth child of seven children born to John Elmer Harnsberger and Bertha Ruby (Shurley) Harnsberger. Faye grew up a farm girl living on a farm north of Lindsay, OK. During her schooling years she attended the Lindsay schools. On August 18, 1943 in Noble, OK, she married Elgin Phillips, the love of her life. In 1945 they moved to Purcell where they remained living throughout their lives. Faye worked most of her life for the McClain County Treasure and retired in 1987 as Deputy Treasure. She was a faithful member of the Purcell, First Baptist Church and served as the Sunday school department secretary for the adult II Sunday school for 36 years. In her earlier years, Faye enjoyed riding in rodeo’s while Elgin participated in them. She loved spending time outdoors and working in her flower garden. Throughout her life she enjoyed sewing, going to church and spending time with friends and family. For the past several years she has been a resident at the Westbrook Gardens Assisted Living.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, John and Bertha Harnsberger; Husband, Elgin Phillips in 2003; Two sisters, Ethel Harris and Vivian Morgan; Two brothers, Warren and Jim Harnsberger;

She is survived by: One sister, Johnie Cook of Lindsay; One brother, Jack Harnsberger of Lindsay; Many nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Purcell. Interment will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Purcell. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
