Rhea Nemecek

Services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell, McClain County, Oklahoma for Rhea Nemecek of Guthrie and formerly of Wayne.
She was born October 10, 1902 in Melbourne, Arkansas, she died August 22, 1999 at the Driskill House in Guthrie, Logan County, Oklahoma. She was 96 years of age.
She married George Nemecek on May 13, 1921. They taught school in rural McClain County for 21 years including schools in Bryant, Ladd and in the Johnson District before joining the Purcell School system.
Mrs. Nemecek also taught two years in Pauls Valley and also taught at Marlow.
In 1979 she and her husband, George, moved to Edmond. After Mr. Nemecek died she moved to Tealridge Manor, but due to her failing health she moved Guthrie, Logan County, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Nemecek was preceded in death by her husband George, a son, Ted Nemecek; two brothers, Bill and Dean Jacobs; a sister Alma Hegwer and a grandson, Ted Nemecek, Jr.
She is sruvived by her sister, Eunice Johnson and a daughter-in-law, Betty; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Purcell, McClain County, Oklahoma.
