Wadley's Funeral Service

Charlene Margaret Mason died January 21, 2015 in Wewoka, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years 10 months 24 days.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow at the Hillside Cemetery in Purcell under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
 

Charlene was born February 28, 1930 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Charles and Myrtle (Bryant) Murray. She was raised and attended school in Wewoka. On May 3, 1952, she married Ernie Mason, Jr, and were married for 60 years before Ernie passed in 2011. Charlene and Ernie made their home in Lexington, Oklahoma for many years. Charlene was a homemaker and enjoyed singing, reading, cooking, going to gospel singing’s and taking care of her family. She was of the Freewill Baptist faith.

Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Myrtle Murray; husband, Ernie Mason, Jr.; daughter, Vickie Odom; sons-in-law, Daniel Dye and David Odom; siblings, Lewis, Jo and Cleo; sister-in-law, Juanita Gumm.

Survivors include her daughter, Lana Dye; grandchildren, Cayla Odom, Ryan Odom and wife, Elizabeth, Michael Dye, Kevin Dye; great grandchildren, Rebecca Dye, Brooklynn Dye; siblings, Charles "Junior" Murray, Bobby Murray, Maria Sneed and many other relatives and friends.
