Debbie Knowles, age 63 of Purcell, OK, passed away Saturday March 12, 2016,

Debra Leta Rowland was born February 16, 1953 in Oklahoma City, the only daughter and younger of 2 children born to Gene Austin Rowland and Evelyn G. (Bugg) Rowland. She was raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from U.S. Grant High School in 1971. On October 19, 1980, Debbie married her best friend and high school sweetheart, Kenneth Lloyd Knowles. They first made their home in Purcell and later Oklahoma City for a time, before settling back in Purcell in 1999. Together they raised three children, sons Justin and Kyan and daughter, Kyndal. Debbie cherished her family and for many years, stayed home, caring and providing for them. She was a visionary and a doer; the rock of the family and a great companion and partner with Ken in the family business. For the last seven years, Debbie has worked as a Realtor for Musgrave Realty in Purcell. Debbie loved animals and especially horses, and had a knack for being able to connect with them all. She lived her dream through watching Kyndal show reining horses. This love has brought her many great friendships within the horse industry and ranch community. Her greatest joy, however was welcoming her grandchildren into her life. Debbie, known as “Mamo”, always made sure her grandkids knew she loved them to the “moon and back”. She could not be more proud of her precious Paisley, Boston, Kash, Taryn and Sawyer. Debbie will be remembered for her sweet soul and a smile that could light up any room. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her mother, Evelyn “MeMo” Rowland.

Debbie leaves behind: Her husband, Ken Knowles of the home; Sons, Justin Knowles and wife Stephanie and their children, Boston and Taryn, of Purcell; Kyan Knowles and wife Kasey and their children, Paisley and Kash, of Purcell; Daughter, Kyndal Creswell and husband Clay and their daughter, Sawyer, of Goldsby; Her father, Gene Rowland of Oklahoma City; Brother, Gary Rowland and wife Glenda of Oklahoma City; 3 nephews, Geremy Rowland and wife Sunny and their children, Lily and Henry, of Oklahoma City, Garon Rowland and wife Jenny and their children, Emmy and Ella of Gainesville, FL and Gavin Rowland and his children, Sladen and Presley, of Oklahoma City; And a host of other family and friends.
