Submitted by: Sandi Carter

Albert Lafayette "Jack" Hart, age 95, of Lindsay, died Thursday, November 4, 2004. He was born September 15, 1909, in Amber, Okla., one of 8 children born to Franklin Hart and Gertrude Hefner Hart. The family moved to "the old home place" at Ninnekah, Okla., in 1916. Albert attended Ninnekah Schools and graduated from Ninnekah High School in 1931. In 1939 he met his true love, Sybil Nurene Hardage. They were married Nov. 2, 1940, in Chickasha. Together they raised two sons, Colin and Michael, who began their lives on "the home place" near Criner. He was known and respected for his honesty and hard work. One of his joys on the Criner home place was the relationship with his brother, Raymond, and neighbor, R. L. Wells, who owned adjoining farms. It was a relationship based on trust, loyalty, and deep friendship that lasted almost 50 years. We, his sons, have been proud that he was still farming at the age of 94, until his stroke in April. He passed on the values of honesty, hard work, perseverance, and loyalty to his sons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sybil; parents, Franklin and Gertrude; grandson, Jason Levi Hart; two sisters, Lucille and Dora; three brothers, George, John and Larkin.
He is survived by two sons, Colin Hart of Purcell, and Michael Hart and wife Nancy, of Townsend, Montana; grandson, Justin, of Bozeman, Montana; sister, Grace Scott, of Gainesville, Taxas; brother, Raymond and wife Ann, of Criner; sister-in-law, Jean Hart, of Criner; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2004, at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell, with Rev. Dan Frisby officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
