Mary Guthrie, age 84 of Purcell, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, at her home.

Mary Lela Dover was born December 17, 1930 in Cole, OK, 1 of 12 children born to Zachariah Lee Dover and Pearl Elizabeth (Adams) Dover. Mary was a happy home maker, and the proud mother of 5 children, sons, Jerry, Larry, Allen and Lloyd and daughter, Alice. She loved cooking and tending to her garden. Mary was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, who looked forward to family get togethers and her greatest joy, was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Lloyd C. Guthrie; Her infant daughter, Freda Gail Matthews; 5 sisters, Loraine Putman, Naomi Matthews, Betty Lou Bryant , Dorothy Armstrong and Lavinia Mason and 4 brothers, Lee, Stephen, Joseph and Alford Dover.

Mary leaves behind: Her sons, Jerry Matthews of Blanchard, Larry Matthews of Purcell, Allen Matthews of Wynnewood and Lloyd Matthews of Purcell; Daughter, Alice Matthews of Noble; Sister, Elizabeth Wilson of Richland, MS; Brother, Sonny Dover and wife Alberta of Lawrence, KS; Many grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery in Purcell
