Katherine Lee Fouts died July 27, 2014 in Oklahoma City at the age of 59 years 8 months 6 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Kathy was born November 21, 1954 in Rolinda, California to Herbert Lee and Wanda Mae (Smith) DeShazer. She was raised in Oklahoma City, attending South East High School. She continued her education earning her Associates degree. On January 21, 1992 she married Tom Fouts in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kathy enjoyed crafts of all kinds, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was the Director of a special needs daycare for 7 years.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert DeShazer, Wanda and Kenneth Thompson; daughter, Starla Vaughan; sister, Karen Smithson; sister in law, Pam DeShazer; great niece, Mindy Newman.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Fouts; daughters, Ronda Harris and husband, Lantz, Melissa Thompson and husband, Chris; sons, James Vaughan, Jeremy Fouts and wife, Shanea; grandson; Devan (son) Fouts and wife, Heather, Ryan Morelock and wife, Brittany, Byron Glenn, Demetre Harris, Athena West (daughter), Clarissa Lara and husband, Kezi, Tyrell Harris, Dustin Blevins, Stevie West (son), Dalton Blevins, Ashley Thomspon, Cassie Thompson, Shelby Thompson; great grandchildren, Preston, Kali, Searra, Braiden, Steele, Kerbie, Reese, Rylan, Jace, Jassa; siblings, Ricky Newman and wife, Sonja, Peewee DeShazer and wife, Effie, Debbie Lusk and significant other, Larry Nivens, Sr., Flynt DeShazer; nieces and nephews, Alex DeShazer and wife, Sara and their children, Brianna, Brylee and Brayden, Rick Newman and wife, Indy and their children, Brent, Megan and Sonya, Dana Smithson and husband, Sammy and their daughter, Nadia, Melody Parker and her son, Edon, Matt Hope and wife, Crystal and their children, Aiden and Marijke; and numerous other relatives and friends.
