David Paul Deskin, Sr. died September 10, 2018 in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years 6 months 13 days.

Gravesite services are scheduled for 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Hillside Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service, Inc.
 

David was born February 28, 1935 in Norman, Oklahoma to Ora and Ollie Deskin. He was raised in Wilson and Norman. On July 15, 1953, David married Georgia Rinehart. He worked many years for the City of Norman as a street foreman. David enjoyed yard work and cleaning.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Ollie Deskin; his wife of 57 years, Georgia Deskin; his daughter, Neva Haux; and 8 of his brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his son, David Deskin, Jr., and wife, Jessica of Norman; Jimmy Deskin of Moore; daughter, Debbie Rockholt of Norman; siblings, William Deskin of Slaughterville, Georgia Lee Chambers of Texas; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Georgia Beatrice Deskin, 73, of Norman, died Friday, Sept. 10, at her home.

She was born on Aug. 15, 1937, southwest of Purcell in the Fairview Community. At 15 years old, on July 15, 1953, Georgia married David Deskin. This past year, they celebrated 57 years of marriage. Together, Georgia and David raised four children and lived in the Norman area most of their lives. For more than 20 years, Georgia had a beauty shop in her home.

Graveside funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell, with Rev. Barry McConathy officiating. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
