Phyllis Butkus, age 72 of Wayne, passed away, Friday March 3, 2017, at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Phyllis Lee Guess was born August 27, 1944 in Hugo, OK, 1 of 3 children born to Earnest Lee and Lorraine Ann (Meade) Guess. Phyllis was raised primarily in the Fresno, California area. She worked as a cook and waitress for many years. Phyllis married the love of her life and best friend, Joseph John Butkus on December 31, 2004, in Norman, OK. Phyllis was a wonderful wife and mother, and she cherished being a grandmother. She was a caring person, always putting the needs of others before hers. Phyllis was an excellent cook and an avid collector, and especially of angels. She was a member of the CrossPointe Church in Norman. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Earnest and Lorraine Guess; Daughter, Leighann Clifford; Sister, Barbara Grill and Brother, Larry Guess.

Phyllis leaves behind: Her husband, Joseph Butkus, of the home; 2 daughters, Elizabeth Trammel of Purcell and Annette Price of Okla. City; Brother-in-law, Jack Butkus of Wayne; 3 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 9, 2017, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery.
