Doris Bartholomew, age 77 of Purcell, passed away Thursday June 5, 2014. Doris Kathryn Davis was born March 14, 1937 in Rosedale, OK, the 3rd of 5 children born to Samuel Colbert Davis II and Gladys Raynita (Ellege) Davis. She spent her early years in Rosedale, followed by a short time in Norman before moving back to Wayne where she graduated from high school in 1955. Doris married JB Bartholomew, and to this union, a son, David was born. Doris worked in various capacities throughout her life, but mostly as a homemaker. She later married Howard Testerman and during this time, they made their home in Oklahoma City, where together they raised a daughter, Jennifer. Doris was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed cooking, and she read her Bible faithfully. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Howard Testerman; Her parents, Samuel and Gladys Davis and Her brother, James Davis.

Doris leaves behind: Her Daughter, Jennifer Lopez and husband Juan of McKinney, TX; Her Son, David Bartholomew of Wayne; Her sister, Sammie Villines of Weatherford, OK; 2 brothers, Joe Davis and wife Joann of Clinton and Paul Davis and wife Norma of Maysville; 5 grandchildren, Tina, Derek, Natalia, Cristina and Nicolas; 4 great grandchildren, Claire, Anastasia, Sophia and Santiago; And a host of other family and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 9, 2014, at the Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
