Robert A. “Bob” Higgins, 86, of Oklahoma City, died Sunday, November 5, 2017 in Oklahoma City. The son of Benjamin Franklin Higgins and Irvie Mildred (Taylor) Higgins, he was born May 28, 1931 in Oklahoma City. 

Bob was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Chickasha Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Chickasha for over 20 years. He then went to work as a delivery driver for Haskell and Lemon Construction and retired after 8 years of service. Bob was Protestant in faith and was a member of the Optimist Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, doing yardwork, and country and western dancing. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pauline Higgins; one grandson, Blake Higgins; and two sisters, Violet Higgins and Marie Spence. 

Bob is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Higgins of Chickasha, Vanessa Keys and her husband, Michael, of Midwest City, and Pamela Mathis and her husband, Tony, of Newcastle; one son, Alan Higgins and his wife, Gemmi, of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren, Cynthia Maples and her husband, Brad, of Elgin, Stephanie Johnson of Midwest City, Megan Stewart and her fiancé, Christian Canoy, of Midwest City, Aaron Rogers of Midwest City, Brittany Braden of Newcastle, Mekyla Higgins of Oklahoma City, Kaleb Higgins and his wife, Dellin, of Enid, and Mekynzi Higgins of Oklahoma City; fourteen great grandchildren, Camdyn, Damian, Jordan, Ayden, Jaelynn, Kynslie, Evan, Easton, Journey, Brock, A.J., Jayleah, Reid, and AnnaBell; and many other loved ones and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 10, 2017, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial with military honors will follow in the Dibble Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
