Sue “Nana” Gardner, 75, of Blanchard, died Sunday, June 4, 2023, in Blanchard. The daughter of Hervie Alonia and Rilla Pauline (Mackey) Stone, Sue was born May 11, 1948 in Oklahoma City.

Sue was raised and lived her whole life in Blanchard where she graduated from High School. Sue married Jimmy Raymond “Pop” Gardner on May 11, 1979, in Gainesville, Texas. She was a member of the New Beginnings Church near Naples. Sue loved working in her flowerbeds and her yard, taking care of her dog, Sheba, and shopping on TV. Most of all she loved her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved having them at her house and she always kept the refrigerator stocked with all their favorites and her own root beer. Sue will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Raymond Gardner; her sister, Gwen Bujak; and brother, Jerry Stone.

She is survived by one daughter, Shelley Smith of Arlington, Texas; one son, Chris Arnold and Kimberley Bailey, of Blanchard; seven grandchildren, David Smith of Blanchard, Rachel Hansen and her husband, Jesse, of Oklahoma City, Dustin Smith and his wife, Jamie, of Noble, Wyatt Arnold, Blue Arnold, Cord Arnold and fiancé Bailee Herring, and Tegan Arnold, all of Blanchard; ten great grandchildren, Dalton Smith, Caden Smith, Dax Smith, Colby Smith, Nevaeh Smith, Boomer Smith, Jesse Hansen, Jr., Paisley and Annabelle Hanson, and Easton Arnold; two brothers, Jack Stone and wife Sharon of Norman and Paul Stone of Moore; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the New Beginnings Church near Naples. Burial will follow in the Dibble Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.

Jimmy Raymond “Pop” Gardner, 64, of Blanchard, died Monday, September 8, 2014 in Norman. The son of Claude Raymond Gardner and Joan Louise (Abshier) Gardner, he was born November 27, 1949 in Norman, Oklahoma.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and then worked as a freight rate specialist for FAA and retired after 19 years of service. Jim married LaQuanah Sue Stone May 11, 1979 in Gainesville, Texas. He was a member of the New Beginnings Church near Naples. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Vicki Lynn Terry.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Gardner, of Blanchard; one daughter, Shelley Smith of Edmond; one son, Chris Arnold and Kimberley Bailey, of Blanchard; seven grandchildren, David Smith and his wife, Falon, of Blanchard, Rachel Hansen and her husband, Jesse, of New York, Dustin Smith and his wife, Jamie, of Noble, Wyatt Arnold, Blue Arnold, Cord Arnold, and Tegan Arnold, all of Blanchard; seven great grandchildren, Dalton Smith, Caden Smith, Dax Smith, Colby Smith, Nevaeh Smith, Boomer Smith, and Jesse Hansen, Jr.; one sister, Penny Hobbs, of Spencer; an aunt, Roberta Kinnamon, of Oklahoma City; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the New Beginnings Church near Naples. Burial will follow in the Dibble Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard
