Vernon Ray Brinlee was born to Clara Elizabeth and Doyle V. Brinlee on February 8, 1949 in Oklahoma City.

He graduated from Verden High School and attended Southwestern State University for two years. He moved to Blanchard about 17 years ago from Dallas. Vernon was a member of the Verden First Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, music, and being outdoors.

He passed away March 26, 2007 at 58 years of age.

Survived by son Daniel of Tamarac, Florida, daughter Rebecca Swain and her husband, Jason, of Tamarac, Florida; mother Clara Brinlee of Blanchard; brother Larry Brinlee and his wife, Vickie of Edmond, Sherry Thompson and her husband, Charlie, of Blanchard; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Doyle.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2007 at the Dibble Cemetery. Pastor Josh Wagner officiated with arrangements made by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.
