Becky June Smith, age 53 of Purcell, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015.

Becky was born August 3, 1962 in Purcell, the 2nd of 3 children born to William Duane Smith and Bettye June Smith. Becky was raised in Purcell and attended Purcell Schools, graduating with the class of 1981. Becky faced many challenges and difficulties in her life, but took on each day with love and support from her family, friends, professional staff and others. She lived at home until age 35. At this time she moved to Cleatis Cottage in Noble where she lived for the next 15 years. She then moved to High Cedar Residential Group Home in Noble for 4 years before settling at the Broadway Living Center in Lexington the past two years. Becky particularly loved her time at Broadway. Each day was exciting and she loved the staff and friends she made there. Becky was a sweet person who wanted everyone to like her, and she blessed her family and friends with her different abilities. She will be dearly missed!

Becky leaves behind: Her parents, William “Bill” and Bettye Smith of Purcell; Sister, Beth Adams of Purcell; Brother, Bill Smith and wife Jennifer of Purcell; Nieces and nephews, Cody Adams, Katie Summers, Grant and Grace Smith; Great Niece, Tynli Adams and A host of other family and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at the Byars Cemetery.
