Barbara Louise Larman age 86 of Purcell passed away after an extended illness on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Sunset Estates Nursing Home in Purcell.

She was born August 27, 1931 in Lake Port, California. Her parents were Warren Alfred Cromwell and Florence Mable Hill. Barbara grew up and graduated from Susanville high school in California. She later moved to Oklahoma and attended cosmetology school to become a beautician. While in her 20’s she enlisted into the U. S. Marine Corp. and proudly served her country during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged she returned to Oklahoma City where she met and later married Charles Alton Larman, a young man from Byars, OK. They were married in 1958 and lived in the OKC area for six years before moving to Purcell in 1964. Barbara worked as a homemaker raising two sons, Billy and Frankie. She also worked part-time as a Beautician and as a substitute instructor in the cosmetology department at the Vo-Tech. For several years she worked as a Secretary and for many years she worked for Delta Community Action in Purcell. She was also active in helping with the Salvation Army Christmas Bell Ringing. While her sons and grandchildren were growing up and playing in sports, Barbara was their greatest fan and attended all of their games. For enjoyment, Barbara was a member of the Red Hat Society and was an avid bowler and a member of a bowling league. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and a dear friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by: Father, Warren Cromwell; Mother, Florence Hill; Step-mother, Aileen Cromwell; Husband, Alton Larman in 1991; Brother, Lynn Cromwell;

She is survived by: Two sons, Billy Larman and wife Lisa of Purcell, Frankie Larman and wife Julie of Purcell, Three step sons, Eddie Larman and wife Susan of OKC, Ronnie Larman of Ft. Worth, TX, Tommy Larman and wife Teresa of Asher; One sister, Verle Grayson of Ukiah, CA; Step sister, Sharon Staton 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, Several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be 10:00am Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at Byars Cemetery in Byars, OK. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
