Ernest Lee Wilson, 90, of Blanchard, died November 7, 2012, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. The son of Anna Mae (Fisher) and Charles Vivian Wilson, he was born March 5, 1922 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He served in the Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion and VFW. Ernest owned and operated the Texaco in Blanchard for many years and later worked as a heavy equipment oiler. He was Baptist in faith, enjoyed working in his garden and loved being around people and telling stories about his military service. His greatest love and joy was his family, especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Oleta Wilson; one son, Charley “Lynn” Wilson; two sisters, Polly Heitman and Betty Lovelace; and two brothers, Ed Wilson and Chester Wilson.

He is survived by his son, Rickey Wilson and wife, Stacye of Blanchard; daughter, Teresa Welch and husband, Johnny of Lone Grove; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; other loved ones and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
