Erma Jean (Weaver) Whitford, 84, of Blanchard, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at her home. The daughter of William Franklin Weaver and Bernice Ivy (Shaw) Weaver, she was born February 6, 1931 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.  

Jean grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Central High School. After graduation she moved to Oklahoma City and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone. She married Vernon Whitford on February 14, 1953 and they made their home in Oklahoma City. After the birth of her children, she went to work for Western Electric and retired in 1973.   The family moved to Blanchard, Vernon’s hometown, in 1972.   She then worked for Harold Eisenhour and retired from the funeral home in 1997 due to her health. Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. She was always on the go, ready for traveling or shopping.  

Jean was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; her parents; four sisters, Ina Faye, Florence, Ima Lee, and Shirley.  

She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Caldwell and her husband, Geary, and Pam Brown and her husband, Richard, all of Blanchard; four grandchildren, April Schneider and her husband, Nathan, Clint Brown, Lance Brown and his wife, Jamie, all of Blanchard, and Kurt Brown and his wife, Larissa, of Washington; her great grandchildren, Easton and Dawson Brown, Ryann and Blakely Schneider, and Baler Brown; cousin, Bronell Garland; one brother, Billy Weaver; and many other loved ones and friends.  

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M, Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.

Burial will be in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
