Oscar Burnis Underwood, Jr., 62, of El Reno, died April 28, 2013 in Houston, Texas. The son of Oscar Burnis Underwood, Sr. and Ruth Edle (Loken) Underwood, he was born July 19, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Oscar served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and worked for many years as a roofer until he retired. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In his spare time, Oscar enjoyed camping, fishing, being outdoors and traveling. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family.

Oscar is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Hugh and Gene Underwood.

Oscar is survived by his three daughters, Stacy Higgins and husband, Shawn, of El Reno, Ruthie Gregory and husband, Billy, of Blanchard and Carrie Underwood of Blanchard; five grandchildren, Kyra Higgins, Kyle Higgins, Gage Gregory, William Sharp, Christopher Sharp, and one on the way; one brother, John Underwood and wife, Marie, of Atoka; and one sister, Barbara Ivy of Texas; and many other loved ones and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 3, 2013 in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
