Alfred Bruce Swanson, known to many as “A.B.” or “Danny”, age 74, of Ola, Arkansas, formerly of Tuttle, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in Russellville, Arkansas. The son of Bruce Wilson Swanson and Violet Loretta (Webb) Swanson, he was born July 10, 1941 in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

He married Barbara Jean Wynn on June 9, 1961 in Blanchard, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on April 20, 2012. He owned and operated Swanson Services for 17 years. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Perry, Arkansas. In his spare time, he enjoyed western movies, playing chess, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Barbara Swanson, and one brother, Donnie Swanson.

He is survived by his two sons, Bruce Swanson and his wife, Melissa, of Ola, Arkansas and Clay Swanson and his wife, Jennifer, of Ola, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Kayla, Sierra, William, Rachel, Nicolas, and Bethany; two sisters, Mary Sue Stuckey and her husband, Tommy, of Oregon and Carlotta Hughes and her husband, Mike, of Blanchard; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
