Blanchard, McClain Co, OK
(permission granted)

Ellis Leroy Seibel, 81, of Oklahoma City, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on June 6, 2013. Ellis went to heaven just in time to surprise the love of his life, Geraldine Fay, for their 34th anniversary. She preceded him in death 14 months ago.

The only child of Herbert and Ruby Seibel, Ellis was born September 24, 1931 in Hawley, Oklahoma. He farmed alongside his dad while going to school. He joined the Army and served in Korea during the Korean War, earning the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, R.O.K. Presidential Unit Citation, and the Good Conduct Medal. After an honorable discharge from the Army, he went to work at Tinker Air Force Base in the engine parts distribution unit until his retirement. He then continued in the workforce in maintenance until he fully retired to stay home and “hold down his recliner.” Ellis loved spending time with his family but also enjoyed his solitude, so he could think of inventions and ways to make things work easier. He loved to read, watch the History Channel, and go to the thrift store on “Senior Tuesday.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Geraldine Fay Seibel, a brother-in-law, Willis Joe Lambert, and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by a son, Tony Morris and Pat of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Sheila Allen and Rusty of Moore, Susan Mitchell and Mike of Oklahoma City, and Sharla Bostwick and David of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; his aunt, Juanita of Texas; and many other loved ones and friends.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City with Pastor Doug Melton officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
