Roley Scott Richey, 50, of Blanchard, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at his home. The son of Roley Clay Richey and Louise Genelle (Bayless) Richey, he was born July 29, 1964, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Scott graduated from Blanchard Schools and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from OSU. He worked for many years in the petroleum industry and various ranching endeavors. Scott was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. He enjoyed many hobbies which included hunting, fishing, and sports, especially golf. He loved history and enjoyed learning. Scott’s greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roley Clay Richey; his grandparents, Bud and May Bayless, and Clay and Jewel Richey; his aunt, Kathryn Bayless; and uncle, Edward Richey.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Anne Richey; his mother, Genelle Richey; two sons, Clay Richey and John Richey; two sisters, Robbie Canada and her husband, Patrick, and Jane Brewer and her husband, J.L.; two nieces, Chelsea Canada, and Kristin Owens, her husband, David, and their son, Ben; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 1, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
