Joe Roy McClain

Joe Roy McClain was born February 13, 1927, in Dibble, Oklahoma, to William Ed and Ethel Mae (Dendy) McClain.
Joe served in the Army in the Signal Corps in 1945. He worked for American Iron and Machine Works and was a supervisor for Wall-Colmonoy. He also was a Maytag repairman and a farmer and rancher.
He married Josephine Pearl Shaw on October 20, 1945. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Blanchard. He enjoyed gardening and being with his family and friends.
He passed away October 6, 2004, at 77 years of age.
Survivors include his wife Pearl of Blanchard; children James Roy McClain and wife Sandra Lee of Enid, Allene P. McDonald and husband Carl of Bridge Creek, Betty Joe Ferrell and husband Larry Joe of Blanchard, Marie Ellen Wynn and husband Ricky of Bella Vista, Arkansas; grandchildren James Shannon McClain, Darla Denise Moses, Rodney Don Miracle, Rhonda Kay Stephens, Robert Henry Miracle, Jack Mitchusson, Kristi Ferrell, Lara Ferrell, Tony LaWayne Cooley, Angela Renee Strode; 15 great grandchildren; brothers Billy Edward McClain, Sam McClain, Jerry McClain; sisters Georgia Tullis, Luida Gross, Romia Burlison, Louise Spoon, Mary Mann, Judy LaRzalere; numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Ethel McClain, one brother, Lonnie McClain, and a great grandchild, Christian McClain, and son-in-law, Roger Miracle.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2004, at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. Rev. Ray Sims will officiate with interment held in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.
