Beatrice Louise Moore

Beatrice Louise Moore,88, of Newcastle, died Monday, February 17, 2014, in Norman. The daughter of Horace and Lillie (Elchyzen) Troutt, she was born January 1, 1926, in Mexia, Texas. known as "Bea" by many of her friends, became a Christian at the age of 16 at Glad Tidings Assembly in Oklahoma City. A short while later, she met a black-headed preacher named L. D. Moore at an open-air meeting. They were married on November 5, 1944. The Moores evangelized throughout many states, and pastored several churches. Behind L. D. Moore's ministry was a quiet lady who supported him with her prayers, good works, and love. In later years, she was a member of the Trinity Holiness Church in Blanchard, OK. Besides her lifetime involvement in church work, Beatrice enjoyed sewing, ceramics, vegetable gardening, and was a wonderful cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reverend Lester Dean Moore; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; and her three sisters, Ann Martin, Barbara Cunningham, and Beulah Spence.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Morgan and her husband, Gerald, of Newcastle; her two sons, David Moore of Blanchard and Terry Moore of Poland; her grandchildren, Brent Moore and his wife, Tiffany, of Ardmore, Ryan Moore and his wife, Hannah, of Kentucky, and Jessica Wood of Kansas; four great grandsons; six great granddaughters; her sister, Gladys Shepherd of Shawnee; her brother, Ernie Troutt and his wife, Dalphene, of McLoud; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 21, 2014 at Trinity Holiness Church in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
