Betty June Manuel, 88, of Norman, formerly of Blanchard, died November 7, 2019, in Norman. The daughter of Clyde Lee Brown and Thelma Fleeta (Gregg) Brown, she was born June 19, 1931 in Reagan, Oklahoma.
 

Betty married George Washington “Dub” Manuel on March 13, 1948, in Konawa, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2018. She was a longtime member of the Blanchard Church of Christ. She owned and operated a beauty shop for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, painting, crafting, and going to garage sales. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, George Wayne Manuel; and her sister, Joan Brown.
 

Betty is survived by one daughter, Wanda Freeman of Oklahoma City; one son, Forrest Manuel of Blanchard; nine grandchildren, Michael Manuel and his wife, Trish, of Chickasha, David Freeman and his wife, Angela, of Oklahoma City, Mandy Manuel of Blanchard, Christi Marzett and her husband, Patrick, of Moore, Kim Wallace of Friend, Deanna McNeill and her husband, Kyle, of Blanchard, Bubba Manuel and his wife, Molly, of Blanchard, Shelton Manuel of Goldsby, and Julie Manuel of Bethany; nineteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and other loved ones and friends.


Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 10, 2019, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.

Burial will be held in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
