Eisenhour Funeral Home
Blanchard, McClain Co, OK
(permission granted)

Marjorie Ann (Hollman) Johnston was born to Henry Herman Hollman and Anna Edith Pauline Dittberner Hollman on June 6, 1935 in El Reno, Oklahoma. She went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2013 at her home in Blanchard.

Margie (as she was fondly called) graduated from Okarche High School in 1953, after which she began nursing school at St. Anthony’s School of Nursing. It was at this time that she met Louis E. Johnston in Ft. Supply, Oklahoma. He soon became her partner, soul mate, best friend, and husband. They were united in marriage on June 24, 1956. To this union 5 children were born. Deborah, Rick, Patty, Ronnie, and Randy.

She and Louie moved to Blanchard in 1962 and have lived in the same house ever since. She was a nurse at St. Anthony Hospital for a number of years until she decided to retire from nursing to care for her 5 children. After her children were grown she went to work at Newcastle Hardware for many years. She became a regular fixture at the store, where everyone knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Louis, of the home; one brother, Alfred and his wife, Glennita, of Pauls Valley, OK. One sister-in-law, Nancy Hollman of Illinois. Five children; Deborah and her husband, David of Criner, OK, Rick and his wife, Denise, of Blanchard, OK, Patty of Colorado Springs, CO, Ronnie and his wife, Royetta, of Laverne, OK, and Randy and his wife, Katie, of Watertown, NY. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Chassity Miller, Ashley Johnston Tallant, Rebecca Sauer, Chance Miller, Amber Johnston Garrett, Adam Sauer, Chad Johnston, Kayla Johnston, Brandon Taft, Tyler Johnston, Kevin Parks, and Angie Johnston. She also has fifteen great grandchildren that she adored: Kameron, Michael, Zach, Syreena, Belle, Emerson, Brooklyn, Haliegh, Hannah, Holly, Houston, Madyson, Myah, Cody and Damen.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Anna Hollman; four brothers, Paul, Richard, Melvin, and Carl Hollman; one sister, Velma Hollarn; one sister-in-law, Ruby Hollman; and one brother-in-law, Adrienne Hollarn.

Margie was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was kind to everyone and never met a stranger.

She has gone to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, as well as all of her family and friends who have preceded her.

She will, however, be greatly missed by those of us that she has left behind.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard with interment following in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Online guestbook and obituary available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
