Jimmy C. “Moe” Elliott, 69, of Blanchard, died Monday, December 21, 2015, at his home. The son of Elmo Charles Elliott and Hazel Lorene (Haygood) Elliott, he was born September 26, 1946, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Jimmy served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and worked for Tinker as an electronics technician for many years. He was a Christian in faith and served as a volunteer firefighter for the Blanchard Fire Department. Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and participating in mountain man rendezvous reenactments. He also loved scuba diving and photography.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jimmy is survived by one sister, Vicki Grusing and her husband, Dale, of Pawhuska; one nephew, Jay Wilson and his wife, Holly, of Cache and their sons, Zak Wilson and Bryce Wilson; one niece, Tina Hagan and her husband, Jim, of Bartlesville, and their sons, Ty Hagan, Trey Hagan, and Tim Hagan; his step-son, Nicholas Lawton of California; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 24, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Exodus Prison Ministry, P.O. Box 6363, Lubbock, Texas, 79493.
