Mary Ethel Dexter, 87, of Blanchard, died Thursday, March 22, 2018, in Norman, Oklahoma. The daughter of Lawrence Lafayette Foreaker and Pauline Mathew (Kulp) Foreaker, she was born February 8, 1931 in Oklahoma City.

Mary was the owner and operator of a dog grooming business for over 20 years. She was a long-time member of the Midway Southern Baptist Church in Dibble. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, watching TV, traveling, flower gardening, and tending to her animals. Mary’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, LeRoy D. Dexter on June 22, 2008; one daughter, Rachael Spivey; a granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Clay-Dudley; one great grandson, Cody Allen Dudley-Sams; and one brother, Paul Foreaker.

She is survived by two sons, Vaughn Dexter and his wife, Marlou, of Oklahoma City and Larry Dexter of the home in Blanchard; seven daughters, Avis Miller of Oklahoma City, Terry Burch of Lawton, Deanna Henderson of Lawton, Donna Kenney of Moore, Linda Whittle and her husband, Jim, of Oklahoma City, Becky Skipworth of Michigan, and Tammy Reffner of California; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
