Eisenhour Funeral Home
Blanchard, McClain Co, OK
(permission granted)

James Haskell “Jimmy” Burlison was born June 6, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas to Joe W. and Sandy (Truss) Burlison. He departed for his heavenly home on January 31, 2017 at the age of 62.

Jimmy grew up with many siblings and, being part of a military family, lived in several places including Midwest City, OK, North Carolina, and Norway. He moved to Blanchard in 1969 and lived with his grandparents, Haskell H. “Hack” and Mary Burlison. Jimmy graduated from Blanchard High School in 1972 and then worked in data processing at Tinker Air Force Base for several years.

Injuries sustained in a 1972 auto accident resulted in physical challenges for Jimmy but could not dampen his spirit. He loved spending time with family and friends and always brought joy and laughter to those around him. At the nursing home where he resided the last few years, Jimmy was known for his fun-loving spirit. Jimmy will be deeply missed by all those who cared for him. We take comfort knowing that he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and has received his eternal reward.

Jimmy is survived by his mother, Sandy Frech, and stepmother, Francis Burlison. Other survivors include his brothers and sisters: Mary “Buttons” Miller; Brenda Simpson; Debbie Woolery; Johnny Burlison; Carl Frech; Connie Schoenung; JoLynn Farnsworth; John Tompkins III; Janice Wiens; Terri Burlison; Sheryl Bridgewater; and Joe Don Burlison.   Jimmy is also survived by his uncle, Jim Kirkman, along with a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Hack and Mary, his father J.W., brother Joe, Jr., sister Jackie, and brothers-in-law Randy Woolery and Danny Wiens.

The family would like to express its gratitude to the caregivers at Grace Living Center and Good Shepherd Hospice and all the friends who visited and encouraged Jimmy. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity of your choice.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 4, 2017, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
