Avanna Faye Brown, 89, of Rockwall, Texas, formerly of Blanchard, died Sunday December 3, 2023, in Rockwall, Texas.

The daughter of Wilbur Robert Williams and Mary Ethel (Kees) Williams, she was born May 28, 1934, in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

She married Roy Curtis Brown on June 2, 1951. She worked as a vice president of a bank for many years and was Methodist in faith. In her spare time, Avanna enjoyed working in her yard, mowing, and tending to her flowers. She was a hard worker and always stayed busy with various home improvement projects. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Ethel Williams; her husband, Curtis Brown; one son, Kevin Brown; three sisters, Bonnie Peek, Lorene Clement, and Nettie Riley; and two brothers, Max Williams and Dal Williams.

Avanna is survived by one son, Tommy Brown and his wife, Mandy, of Rockwall, Texas; two grandchildren, Amber Scott and husband, Cory, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Cory Brown of Rockwall, Texas; four great grandchildren, Camden Scott, Harper Scott, Sawyer Brown, and Casey Brown; one brother, Don Williams and wife, Martha, of Madill; one sister LaVenna Collins of Upland, California; and many other relatives and friends

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Graveside service and burial will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 9, 2023, in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
