Jerry Paul Bridges, 73, of Blanchard, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at his home. The son of Ivy Franklin Bridges and Myrtle Nina (Young) Bridges, he was born June 2, 1942 in Dibble, Oklahoma.

Jerry married Eleanor Lorene Dean on February 12, 1961 in Blanchard, Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. Jerry worked as a right of way agent for Enogex Corporation and retired after 15 years of service. In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes at the Blanchard Senior Citizen’s Center, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joe Kenneth Bridges and Coye Wayne Bridges; and a brother-in-law, Art Wilson.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lorene Bridges, of Blanchard; three daughters, Cheryl McConnell and her husband, Harry, of Blanchard, Christi Buller and her husband, Dewayne, of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Chandra Stroope and her husband, Michael, of Dallas, Texas; one son, Jeff Bridges and his wife, Rhonda, of Blanchard; nine grandchildren, Blake McConnell of Moore, Tyler McConnell of Blanchard, Jeremy Buller of Seattle, Washington, Dustin Buller and his wife, Sarah, of Dallas, Texas, Cameron Buller of Dallas, Texas, Garrett Buller of Fort Worth, Texas, Kaitlyn Palmer of Denton, Texas, Ciera Stroope of Dallas, Texas, and Jensen Bridges of Blanchard; one great granddaughter, Lola Allen of Denton, Texas; one sister, Theresa Wilson of Longview, Texas; one sister-in-law, Kay Bridges of San Antonio, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
